The grading system has changed, but not the pure maple syrup—here's a guide to help you pick which grade is best:

Grade A: Amber Color, Rich Taste: Rich and full-bodied taste, has a light, medium, or dark amber color.

Grade A: Dark Color, Robust Taste: Robust and substantial taste, this syrup is dark colored and stronger than the lighter color classes.
